B&B in Siena

It overlooks the front drive with a beautiful view of the palms, magnolia purpurea, mimosa and a nearly centennial boxwood hedge: a space that gives silence and tranquility until you can hear the different songs of the birds. An oasis of peace in the city center.

It’s the balcony from where the ladies, hidden from view, peeped and listened to the minstrel’s serenade. The double room of about 26 m2, can become a bedroom for three persons, there’s a large balcony with a view of the ancient rocca  of Monte Dei Paschi, from which you can see the bell tower of the Duomo.

“SE DORMI, SVEGLIATI!” (If you sleep, wake up!) is the exhortation that the lover addressed to his lady, so that she would listen to the serenade. It’s the brightest room of the B&B with two windows facing south, that give an unforgettable view of the roofs of valle dei Rozzi and of a part of the garden.

For us it is the room that most expresses the romantic side of the B&B. The spring colors with which it was painted recall violets and the purple magnolia that dominates the garden, harmonize with the sweet lines of the furniture and with the brightness that comes from the balcony overlooking the garden. Here you can have breakfast, enjoy a glass of wine, in short, rest after the walks for the unusual ups and downs that this city offers. From this double room with its verone, you can see the garden that offers peace and quiet.

The warm colors of the double bedroom give a pleasant feeling of intimacy, enhanced by the silence and light it receives from the garden that surrounds the whole house and which you can enjoy a beautiful view from the large window with mosquito net.

Going up the travertine stairs, on the second floor of the B&B, there is an attic that maintains the ancient beam of the initial construction of the house dating back to 1936. It is illuminated by two Velux windows equipped with roller shutters that open and close electrically; there is also a window with mosquito net, which can also be opened electrically in correspondence with the kitchen area.
