How to get there
By car:
FROM SOUTH (Bettolle-Siena road): continue towards the railway station, take Viale Toselli, then at the second roundabout follow the signs for Porta Ovile, Centro, enter Porta Ovile, follow Via Pian d’Ovile which ends in Via Garibaldi.
(Grosseto-Siena road): follow signs for Arezzo, after 4 km, at the crossroads follow the left towards Siena Centro: you will find yourself at the end of the Bettolle-Siena junction, so follow the directions above.
FROM NORTH: (Florence-Siena road) exit Siena Nord, at the roundabout take Viale Giovanni Paolo II and follow signs for Railway Station, at the second roundabout go right towards Centro, pass the bridge over the railway and, at the roundabout, go left, make an underpass and at the roundabout keep to the right (tree-lined avenue: Via Mazzini). At the end of the street there is a traffic light: straight and after 30 meters you will find Via Garibaldi straight.
(Chiantigiana road) arrive at the junction for the Florence-Siena road, go straight and after 50 meters you will find yourself at the roundabout of the Siena Nord exit, then follow the directions above.
By train:
Cross the station square (buy your ticket at the station), take the buses: 3-4-7-8-10-35 or 77 and get off at the first stop in Via Garibaldi: the B&B corresponds to the gate with the terracotta lions that you will find in front of you. Otherwise on foot (about 1 km) go up Via Mazzini: at the bottom cross the Barriera di San Lorenzo (surmounted by two bronze Wolves) and you are in Via Garibaldi.
By bus:
At the terminus (Piazza Gramsci) go in the opposite direction to the public gardens: via del Sasso di S. Bernardino, at the bottom turn left and after 20 meters you will find yourself in Via Garibaldi.
PARKING:
Near the B&B La Coperta Ricamata you can find free parking in Via Don Minzoni, road side (Tuesday morning no parking from 7.00 to 10.00 for street cleaning), Viale Mazzini (street cleaning Tuesday morning right side, Monday morning left side) and Via di Pian d’Ovile.
Parking “Stadium / Fortress” outdoors unguarded, about 200 meters from the structure.
Private parking “Autosilo Pian d’Ovile” covered and guarded, located in Via di Pian d’Ovile, 16 (daily rate around € 25).
